Connecticut Indemnity Co. PPO - Final Approval of Settlement
On March 27, 2009, an Illinois state court granted final approval of a settlement in a class action lawsuit against Connecticut Indemnity Company (CIC), succeeded in interest by Arrowood Indemnity Company. The settlement resolves a lawsuit concerning PPO discounts taken by CIC on the class members' bills relating to the treatment of Illinois workers' compensation patients.
The class consists of all licensed healthcare providers in Illinois whose reimbursement for medical services related to the treatment of an Illinois workers' compensation claimant was reduced by or on behalf of CIC pursuant to a PPO discount from February 15, 1995 through December 10, 2008.
