Brad Lakin Selected as One of "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch"

Local attorney Brad Lakin, Managing Partner of SLChapman LLC, was selected as 40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

Lakin was selected by his peers for this honor not only because of his skill as an attorney and his strong administrative leadership, but because he is known as an advocate for his clients nationwide. “He has an unwavering dedication and true compassion for his clients,” said John Simmons of Simmons Cooper LLC in East Alton, IL.

A graduate of the Northern Illinois University College of Law, Lakin concentrates in personal injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, railroad injuries, and class action suits. Lakin is known across the nation for his firm’s handling of personal injury lawsuits, having tried cases in Illinois, Oklahoma, Arkansas, West Virginia, Nebraska, and Missouri. In a 2005 product liability trial, Lakin helped his clients win a $43 million victory – the second largest verdict in Illinois and the 30th nationwide.

Lakin is also an active supporter of the March of Dimes, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Metro East Humane Society, and KidsinCars. He also supports several scholarship programs and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, and the American Association of Trial Lawyers.
